Interview with Jessica and Ashley
Is there a pussycat doll you're the closest with?
Ashley: 'I'm close with every girl, but I'm a little bit closer with Jessie and Kim'
Jessica: 'I'm the closest with Ashley, she became a really good friend of mine. And I love Nicole. Of course I love every doll, but I can talk really good with Nicole'
Carmit told us by accident she has a boyfriend, so there are PCD-boyfriends!
Jessica: 'Better than that, I know Ashley because of her boyfriend! When I was fourteen years old, I danced with him. When I went to LA, Carmit was one of the first people I knew.'
But your boyfriends?
Jessica: 'Neuh. It's pretty difficult to find someone who understands what we're doing, and who's cool with it'
Ashley: 'Yeah, most guys just don't understand that. They don't understand why you can't spend more time with them'
Do you think you could date someone who isn't in this business?
Jessica: 'No, I don't think so. You know what's the problem? A boy has to be very self-confident. He has to share you with the rest of the world. And if we have a fight, is it hard to believe for him that he's the only one.'
That would be the same when you had a boyfriend in a boyband. Would you be able to handle that?
Ashley: 'No, that would be hard on me. I wouldn't be especially jealous about his attention to other girls but more about the fact that he spends more time with his fans as with me. Forced, but anyway.'
What do your parents think about the sexy outfits?
Jessica: 'Well, the outfits are pretty sexy. But I don't think we go to far. It's never real exhibitionistic. Our parents know that. And they trust us. At first my mum didn't like the name, she thought it was vulgar. But when she saw the show, she thought it was the coolest thing ever. And now they like to go out with us.'
Ashley: 'My father used to be in the music business, so he understood it. My parents have always supported me. And Jessie is right: our mothers are partying all together!'
